The Desert Rose is sometimes called the Sand Rose, Selenite Rose or Gypsum Rose or gypsum rosettes. It is a form of gypsum that, when sand particles become embedded in it, forms rosette-like concretions. They are found in arid, desert regions, hence their name.
It creates a beautiful visual accent on tabletops, on shelves, as a paper weight, as an accent on a coffee table. It is a versatile object that acts an organic element to a space.
It has been long believed that Desert Rose Selenite carries the energies of protection, prosperity and purification. Many cultures use this gypsum rose to neutralize negative energy from a space or person.
It is an excellent stone for intuitive work. It quiets the mind by ridding it of fear, worry, doubt and other distractions. It is also great as a housewarming gift as it is a great purification crystal for a space.
Care Instructions: Desert Rose is a soft mineral and should be kept dry. Avoid all moisture and liquids from contacting this crystal as it is in the gypsum family and is soluble in liquids.
PLEASE NOTE: Each desert rose is one-of-kind. You will receive one of the crystals pictured. Each is about 320g and sizes range between 3" - 4" in each direction. It is a very brittle mineral, natural minor chipping is to be expected, but the product will be shipped and packaged with the utmost care and protection.
